Richard Dwight Gheen, born September 24, 1943 lifelong resident of Houston passed away November 21, 2016 at age 73. Rick was born to Freda and Dwight Gheen on September 24,1943. He graduated Spring Branch High school proudly joining the Navy about a month after graduation. he was in the Navy stationed on the U.S Bayfield which was the first ship to arrive in the Cuban crisis as well as doing a tour in Vietnam. Richard Dwight Gheen, born September 24, 1943 lifelong resident of Houston passed away November 21, 2016 at age 73. Rick was born to Freda and Dwight Gheen on September 24,1943. He graduated Spring Branch High school proudly joining the Navy about a month after graduation. he was in the Navy stationed on the U.S Bayfield which was the first ship to arrive in the Cuban crisis as well as doing a tour in Vietnam. Rick married Jerre Gheen on August 22, 1964 and has been married for 52 years with the job of being a loving father to 3 children, active in their sports even coaching the boys football and baseball. He enjoyed building things, watching football, hitting golf balls into the lake, and his everyday morning coffee but most of all he enjoyed spending quality time with his family, kids, and grandkids.

Rick is survived by his wife Jerre Gheen, 3 kids and their spouses David and Kim Gheen, Deanna and Thomas Wiley, Alan and Tracy Gheen, 5 grandchildren Jaquliyn Lewis, TJ Wiley, Daniel Bourke, Kayleigh Bourke and Keivan Bourke, along with 3 sisters Connie Hafer, Angie Price, Carol Gheen.

Pallbearers are David Gheen, Alan Gheen, Bill Price, Jim Hafer, Justin Huntsman, TJ Wiley.
